-------------------

The single-chorus-Register (sometimes called "violin", "flute", "oboe" as well) is NOT DOMINANT. It can be played together with almost any instrument and with modest, lovely melodies but classics as well. It allows low-volume playing with less bellowsaction.

Labeling of registers strongly depends on manufacturer itself (there is no norm, no common rule). The "oboe"-register (shift, switch) is often used as well as a combination of "single reed (single chorus, violin)" and a 8-va-shift component as a combination-register.... pretty confusing !

If I don't want to show/generate the "classic accordionsound", then i select this one. It is my register of choice, if nothing else seems to fit or if i play in a group with other instruments and want to avoid the impression of "mistuned accordion sound".

  • You name it. And still, this is only semi-professional equipment (maybe about 150 EUROS in total). One can spend about thousands of EUR just for a (one !) good studio-mikrophone !

But honestly, for YouTube, one doesn't need it at all. This is already more than sufficiant as you can see (hear).

How do you like the registerexamples so far ?

Shall i continue this way ?

    Shall i change something ?
