Loved it & very informative to the lay-person. I had an orig. 3" ord. rifle that we fired with the service chrg. of 1 lb. & had lots of fun with it. Found that at 200 yrds the projectile hadn't stabilized & was more accurate at greater range. Word of advice, pull the lanyard with a straight arm swing to your back or rear. Pulling it in front of u pops the s-ring toward your face & they can hurt or put out an eye. I was a fast learner & it is in the orig. manuals if u look.

@victorygardener do you need any licenses for these or are these classified under the sporting, or antique firearms catigory? I know for anything made with modern technology with repeating capability or anything made after 1900 is considered a firearm, and most blackpowder eapons arent so this seems to fit in that catagory. if not then it would technically by a DD because of the 3" bore

@kix96fan Good eye for safety. I do number 3 and 4 when we're running the gun with only the three of us. My father is number 1 and my brother as gunner (and all other positions). At 3:34~3:35 you can see my arm just above the wheel and my shoe sticking in view, I'm just outside of the shot reaching in but I am covering the vent

Hello Guys,
I'm new at this and know nothing,
I am just finishing an 1.75 civil war reproduction and would like to zero it in someplace.
Who should I contact or where should I go.
Thanks in advance.

Where on the East Coast are you? When is the next shoot in Winchester? What make is your barrel and who did the liner (the Paulson's)???
BTW- excellent video. Very safe shooting. A good representation for what cannon shooting should be like.
I have shot the same type gun at the cannon shoot in Grayling, Michigan with Battery B, 1st Michigan. That is another great live-fire shoot you might want to get in on.

@RedLeg43 sorry for lag in response, I haven't been on here in a while. We're located in south easetern Pennsylvania. The barrel is a south bend reproduction. The Winchester national shoots are in May and October every year. Only another month till we'll be on the firing line again.
