it's just the angle of the camera. look at the circle on the floor; he's between the circle and the screen when he's sitting and it's zoomed in and the stool stays there when he gets up and the camera is zoomed out more. angles of shots are extremely important to film making which is illustrated here. the stool is in the same spot, but it looks like it's different because of the angle. you can make a small person look huge with a low angle shot and a huge person look small with a high angle shot
