  • VH1 Classic symbol makes this video complete

  • I had recently heard that the "cuttter " was an ass-beatin' - that was what the gang in 'ClockWorkOrange" had done to their victims. "SPARE us the cutter!! " That is what was overheard by the victim. Still have no clue of what the song means , but what a beautiful song it is!

  • This band had strange motorcycle curse on it - two member died on motorcycle crashes.

  • Love this & have listened to them since the 80's....

  • @MsPersephoneX: been listening to The Bunnymen since 1983 so add these line to your musings and you got it (resurrection): "conquering myself until I see another hurdle approaching, say we can, say we will, not just another drop in the ocean"...PS: you have a couple lines off. Also check out: Over the Wall

  • I perceive it as being about redemption and purification. I perceive the cutter as being the scythe of death. The proverbial cutting to separate the wheat from the chaff.

    Am I the happy loss?

    Will I still recoil

    When the skin is lost?

    Am I the worthy cross?

    Will I still be soiled

    When the dirt is off?

  • Even though Ian McCulloch's hair probably knackered our ozone layer, i still believe it was a fair price to pay..

This band were every level of excellence :)

  • @Bobjb999 This whole album is exceptional

  • Quite a good song. I'd say the vocals here have a great deal of David Bowie influence (not that that's a bad thing).
