Dr. Vriesendorp demonstrates the perfect solution for a good nights sleep in the Amazon jungle. This is the first installment in a five-part series of video journals documenting the teams daily life and field work during their expedition.
As a plant ecologist and conservation biologist, Dr. Vriesendorp directs The Field Museums Rapid Inventory program, which brings together biological and social information to create a roadmap for practical, long-lasting, and locally-supported conservation. During October of 2008, Dr. Vriesendorps international team of scientists surveyed the Cuyabeno-Güeppí region where Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia meet.

G'day I'm new to the hammock World but I've been going bush since I was 6yrs and I've tarp, built campsite, swaged and tented. but one thing i've done in all seasons is put my foot wear and clothing into two breatherable bags Sealing the opening and if in wet weather placing them undercover. This will keep out Spiders and bites as you know the Aussie bush has a lot of these darling who would like to share you gear with you for a night or two. So think WHAT IF! and Avoid that unwanted Phone CALL.
