Greg introduces the New Sigma 120-400mm Optically stabilised zoom lens. Great for those looking for a reasonably priced Long Telephoto suitable for wildlife or sports photography.
One of my favorite lenses. Its a bit heavy for hand held use but is damn sharp on 200mm f8 Compared to my friend's 70-200 4L IS lens and the quality is almost the same, but with less chromatic aberration than that L lens had on its high end.
For its price its a realy good choise. I highly recommend this.
And those folks who love their 70-200 it beats this sigma with its fast focus on low lights.
Mine doesn't come in until tomorrow D: (I'm going to be using it with a Canon 500D/T1i)
Hopefully it will be calibrated properly, and perhaps I'll even do a review in a few days, since there doesn't seem to be a single real English language review of this lens's actual performance :(
NO camera/lens pair focuses perfectly, it's just that the focus error is usually smaller than the depth of field of the lens, so it doesn't really matter.
Sometimes this isn't the case, however. What the negative reviewer below SHOULD do is send their lens and camera to Canon/Sigma to be calibrated together (which would make the lens amazingly sharp), rather than complaining about it on Youtube.
In short, if you're thinking about this lens, don't let one bad review put you off.
The negative review is most likely from a user who either got a bad copy of the lens, or, as is FAR more likely, they simply have a lens that is not calibrated well for that camera. Calibration is never perfect, and there's always a tolerance in there, a margin of error, and if the lens's calibration pushes the picture out of focus in the same direction as the camera's (front or back focus), then the inaccuracy of the focus can exceed the depth of field of the lens.

All sigma reviewers are reading from slide or script? why is that.

@madterrapin
Turns out my copy had a severe front-focus issue, which I'm trying to get worked out right now.
