To those bringing up the previous persecution of Christians... two wrongs don't make a right. By your acceptance of persecution BY Christians, you appear to suggest the behavior is perfectly alright.
The fact that Christians persecuted others shows that Christians didn't accept the words of Jesus. If you know anything about the USA today, with its teabag party, evangelists, and religious bigots, you'll see the loudest proponents of Christianity don't understand the teachings of Jesus. Shame.

@sarantakis The document starts at 314 C.E.
Should we ignore the centuries in which Christians were persecuted? Constantine declaring the Roman world to be Christian had as much effect of actual conversion as me going into a hospital and declaring everyone to be healthy. Jesus said, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day." Show me the passage in scripture that says an emperor can make anyone a Christian.

@caveatemp If obama then proceeded to destroy all documents buildling, of all other religions and killing non mythicist priests who didn't change religion he would be gettiing close to how christianity was forced on the Empire. Just read the document.

The Christianization of the Roman Empire mirrors the Sovietization of eastern Europe.

@kingsman565 AI computers would make everything run smoothly. Hasn't science given you a utopian life so far? Just trust the good folks at the UN. They love you!
By the way, have you taken your flu shots yet?

@caveatemp What would happen if Obama suddenly passed a law that the United States was officially a mythicist country? Would that mean everyone in the USA suddenly believed in the mythicist position? Your demonization of Christianity has no teeth, face it.

@spaceagebachelor Yes, after 300 AD, the fourth century. My mistake. I'm not saying I know exactly who is a Christian and who is not. I'm saying that a Roman emperor declaring the empire to suddenly be Christian does not make the people in the empire Christian. Constantine was co-opting Christianity because Rome could not stamp it out. Becoming a Christian happens through the grace of the new birth, not by Roman decree.

4th century!
Everyone is aware of the early persecution of Christians. This video outlines the persecution of non-Christians by Christians from the 4th century. Your claim is that these were not Real Christians. Do you also claim that all Catholics are bound for Hell? So - just who are the Real Christians? Which of the thousands of denominations of Christianity is correct?
-
@spaceagebachelor Are you saying that, conservatively speaking, 10,000 Christians killed is inconsequential? The fact remains that only in the 3rd century, after Rome co-opted Christianity did you see the mass persecution "in the name of" Christianity.
-
Since that time, 10 of millions of Christians have been killed by, notably, other Christians. Just who are the 'Real Christians" (TM)?
i am tired of all this religion bullshit!! the mind of some people is so messed up by it. brainwashed and don't even know it?

Actual Christians do. Those who believe that sex before marriage is immoral, ARE persecuted.
Christians that burn down temples and kill people in Christniaty's name PERSECUTE.
