Metallica is not satanic.Just like VlikeVince777 said, James does pray before a concert. I saw James' "Faith" tatoo before.

Metallica has spoken about the evil themes in their songs. They do not see themselves as "Satanic", but they simply believe that they acknowledge the evils of the world. Most of Christianity's main figures have done that as well.
Ask for "The God that Failed", James made that song out of discontent he had with his parents for forcing religion down his throat.
I am a practicing Christian myself. I, personally, do not see Metallica as a portrayal of Satanism, but a portrayal of human nature.

James Hetfied is a christian!
He believes in God!
If you watch more Metallica videos
you can see that he starts to pray before a concert!
And he wears Crosses(not upside down) and
on his arm is a "Fatih" Tattoo

Uhh...Meatllica is not satanic at all. This is a song based off of a film called "Johnny Got His Gun" A very sad story of a man who was mutilated during WW1. His arms and legs had been destroyed, his eyes scooped out, he was deaf after hearing the screech of an artillery shell, AND on top of that he cannot speak at all. Nothing to do with Satan at all.

Also, the song itself may not be of a satanic theme (unless one stretches that it deals with war and war is satanic...?), but we are talking about the band itself, their overall music, and the bits and pieces found in some of the lyrics, whether they be dark or dealing against religion/Christianity (see "The God that Failed")

There is a confusion on what the word "satanic" means.
Immediately one things of something openly anti-Christian (but not in an "atheists" way) or something like Slipknot or other underground black metal bands, with rituals involving orgies and sex.
While this, too, is satanism, there are other milder or even subtler forms of it.
Metallica overall doesn't have lyrics with open satanism, except for their cover of "Satan's Fall"
But satanism can also be through subliminal messages or pictures

hmmm a satanic band's music to holy pictures. i was a huge metallica fan until i watched the documentary "they sold their soul for rock and roll", excellent exposure of satanism in rock. led zeppelin really broker my heart. anyway, i love your originals. thx

Indeed, except most people have been so indoctrinated to think that Metallica is not satanic simply because it is not death metal (and they call US indoctrinated!).
But, I suppose it is better for someone to watch religious pictures while listening to Metallica than just listening to Metallica!
