Are u sure it's 4KVac? It should have a 3-cm arc at least.
-
would love schematics please.
-
is it possible to make one that would fit into a 14.5 x 5.5 .1.5cm space? and would it be very hard?
-
Could you send me the schematics for the circuit? I need them because I want to do this for a science fair project.

electro destruction music? would love to hear that, make one or scrawl me a diagram?!

Anyway go to my site where I have released a new design built off the back of this.
daves-tech.homedns.org
I will not be posting a video of my new version due to the laws in UK.

Your incorrect 1k volt equals 1mm in normal air.

try running a xenon tube with that, I bet you would see some neat plasma trails running through it..
The one thing though, at 4000V, it seems like the current would be in µA, not milliamps

It outputs about 2A at 230-260v and about 1mA at 3700V.
But since this video the transformer has died due to the isolation was never meant to see over 300vac.

so you make a sine signal with an NE555 and amplify it with the transistor? cool!
if you use a schmitt-trigger instead of the NE555 and put an audio signal at the input you should have a singing arc, shouldn´t you?

Maybe but this still runs a such a low Hz that is would sound like a first model gameboy being hit with a hammer.
