The typeface dyslexie is now available on www.studiostudio.nl/bestellen
Dyslexie is a typeface for dyslectics.
The University of Twente did research on the typeface. Hereby a part of their conclusion:
"The dyslectics made fewer errors, than the normal readers, on the EMT with the font "Dyslexie". This is an indication that reading with the font "Dyslexie" decreases the amount of reading errors."

€69 is not a bad price considering its around £400 for fonts such as Helvetica

I'm severely Dyslexic... I am also going for an English Major in Creative writing... and hopefully minoring in Film studies. In high school I ran a support group online for dyslexics under 18 only. I have read and studied dyslexia pretty closely, and as one I can say that little to NOTHING in this video is TRUE! Dyslexics need to be given tools and a LOT of time with trained professionals. Teachers should never use "Increment" words while they are struggling because they translate badly.

What I personally concentrate on is completely irrelevant because I'm not in the market for a dyslexic typeface. I will, however, hope along with you that the errors don't seem problematic for any future potential buyers. Hope is all I can do besides point out the errors that need to be fixed.

Dear Matthew, yes, of course you are very right. This is what happends when a Dutchman (like I am too) who thinks he can speak and write English well doesn't have his work checked. All the mistakes were typical translation errors of Dutch into English.

But let's concentrate on the message itself more than on the translation errors, okay? Because that's what this is really about.

I understand, but a product concerning a scientific new way of writing and typing will sell much better without typos and writing mistakes, in my opinion. They decrease credibility regardless of whether they are excusable. It's not like there's nobody in his country who speaks fluent English that he could have ran this by.

In any case, my criticism included the necessary changes, so assuming he followed good practices and didn't delete the video project file it should be a simple cut and paste.

This guy is Dutch. Clearly English isn't his native language.

so... a font for people who can't read made by someone who can't write? Proposed changes below:

"How can we prevent this FROM happening"

"By making the underside OF THE LETTERS MORE BOLD"

"The difference BETWEEN letters IS EMPHASIZED"

"It prevents them FROM LOOKING like each other"

It just seems like the kind of thing you'd want to associate with good grammar.

Michelle, I am not dyslexic, but I believe that any code (like java or any other programming langauge) is visually very poor. The legacy which code inherited from fixed-font and text-only monitors of 80ties prohibits visual representation of the code. IMHO learning java for a dyslexic person should be super hard, as code gives no visual clues of what it does. When you 'glance' over the code - you have no idea what it does, unless you "read in". The solution should be graphical way to program.
