Pia Zadora - A Foggy Day (In London Town) (1983)

If you've never heard Pia sing, you're in for a surprise: she's very good!! I was once a skeptic, but bowled over by this wonderful used LP I found. She is backed by The London Philharmonic Strings on a collection of classic standards that have been covered by just about everybody.

Stereo vinyl track is from the 1983 OOP CBS Records LP "I Am What I Am". Produced by Tino Barzie.

fabulous performance - just the into alone is really good - what did you use for turntable and cartridge?

@gnativerson Hi...thanks for the positive feedback. I used an audio-technica turntable (model AT-PL50) that I bought about 6 years ago for only $80.00. I think it still sells on amazon, etc. and for only a slightly higher price. Don't know the cartridge - I guess if you do a search on Google for the audio-technica AT-PL50 it will probably give you all the specs you are looking for.

I too was a sceptic and purchased this album expecting a "golden throats" experience... I was an immediate convert and also managed to get my hands on the "Pia and Phil" album shortly thereafter!

maybe a tip, on and of they offer the pia platinum collection on ebay, than you have all three albums in one collection on cd, i got mine on belguim ebay, many greetings for al you pia fans
