DavidLSI uses the AMA Roadside Service

I had a problem on Sunday morning and could not get the bike started.

I am a member of the American Motorcycle Association, on my membership card there is a number for Roadside service. I called it and a nice lady walked me through the towing request, she quoted 45 minutes or so. The tow truck guy called me about 20 minutes later to confirm my location and let me know he was on the way. Said he was coming in from Kenosha, and arrived at almost exactly 45 minutes from when I hung up with the AMA lady. While he was hooking up my bike the AMA service's auto responder called me to ask if the service provider was there, and did I require anything additional.

Not bad for a free service I was offered for allowing for auto
renewal of my AMA dues on my credit card

I do not know what this would have cost if i had to arrange for it on my own. The only cost this time was the five spot I tipped the guy.
