Lamy is Minardi not Arrows ???

Good driving from Alesi. He was a skillful and fast guy - and also looked cool in that ferrari.

@arsenium666 what a fucktard comment! as the commentators clearly say that Barrichello and Herbert whose tires were already up to temperature are 5sec slower. if u see part 5 you'll notice that 3 laps after his stop Schumacher was still 3sec per lap slower than Alesi. in short, just shut up if dont have anything wise 2 say

Tke a look at Andrew Benson's review of this race (on BBC site).
Note, absolutely no mention of Alesi's drive. Utterly shocking.
-
Yes Alesi changed earlier etc etc...by more than one lap i think...he also had little to lose..Schumi was trying to secure the constructors etc etc....Alesi pushed hard and get temperature reward...he also had great control and feel,,,love him

Ppl believe Ferraris have always being best or second best. The 412T2 V12 was 3rd best in 95 and reliability made them lose a lot. With a reliable car, Alesi could have finished 2nd in championship with +70 points and maybe 2 more victories. And the Renault V10 of Benetton and Williams was far more drivable than the explosive Ferrari V12. Tallent? yeah, some tallent. I dont think ANYBODY ever drove the V12 faster in the wet than Alesi.

Jean probably had more wing on his car but look at that Renault engine pulling away from the Ferrari V12 on the back straight. Alesi could not overtake Herbert even with the tow, but he could pass.

great thanx for uploading never seen this race was born that year

Wow!!! I'm a vivid Alesi fan but I had never seen this race before. Unbelievable stuff... I wonder how he maintained control... It's definetly more challenging than Alonso's 2005 move over Schumacher... I'm a journalist and in an interview, in 2000, Jean had told me: "A single win with Ferrari is greater than two titles with Williams"...
There aren't a lot of drivers who would make a risky pass into the 130R mere seconds before pitting to make a risky early stop for dry tires.
But Jean Alesi certainly was a special driver and it seemed so unfair that the only won a single GP.
