Here's what the V&H Cruzers sound like on my V-Star 650. No Carb re-jetting.

  • it is reccomended that you rejet from the manufacturer.i contacted vance and hines they said you must rejet to a 86 jet.

  • Video is old. I rejetted with a kuryakyn Twin Velocity air intake 2 years ago

  • If you add a bigger exhaust, and more air with a hypercharger then you will need to re-jet the bike! or the bike will be getting more air and the same fuel and will make it lean and run hot.. I am re-jetting my 04 650 V-star now, with V&H Exhaust and Hypercharger... I bought it and someone put bigger jets in it(122.5) and that is all they did? no resetting the mix at 3.5 or no shims for more air. and it has ran rich from the day i got it.I will be going down to a 117.5 jet so it won't be rich

  • This video is old. I have since added a Twin-V and rejetted with 122.5, 3.25 pms, 2 shims on the needles. Total difference now. Improved gas mileage also. I avg 50-55 mpg when I'm not riding it like I stole and then 45-50

  • How much difference did you get from stock jet to rejetting ? is it good enuf without the jet kit ?

  • Ran fine without rejet.

  • what is re jeting?

  • @pwrboter what do you think about the kuryakyn twin velocity air intake ? feel any faster ? any more mpg's ?

  • Are those Long shots ??

  • also, what do you use to get to the drain plug? a socket is too big to fit in there with the kick stand assebley right across from it. do I need an open end wrench?

  • I ended up getting a new 09 650 classic. What oil do you use in yours? The dealer wants me to bring it in for a 600 mile service but they want like $150 to do it. Don't know why I can't change the oil and filter and gear oil in my own garage. Do you do this yourself and is it pretty simple? Any help would be appreciated, the dealers charge way too much.

  • @sonicbeerman The V Star 650 can easily handle hwy speeds. I cruise at 70+ all the time....but it does have some vibiration in it.

If I did hwy riding a lot I would go wth a bigger bike.

  • Are these 650's any good for the higway? Can they handle 70+ and not vibrate you off. Thinking of getting one but the 650cc is scaring me away.

  • I love it when people get a bike then the pay money to put all kinds of shit to make it look and sound like a Harley. Just buy a real bike! Grow a fucking pair and do it!

  • I just bought myself a Vstar 650 custom. these pipes sound excellent! I think i may invest in a pair =)

    cheers

  • how come u have to r"re-jet " after putting after market pipes on ? wut is re jetting ?
