JDC Short Term Service - Tufts University Hillel - Post-Trip Impact Project - Race4Rwanda

In 2010, JDC will send over 200 Jewish young adults on Short Term Service experiences around the world.

In May 2009, 18 Tufts University undergrads traveled to the Agahozo Shalom Youth Village (ASYV - http://asyv.org/) in Rwanda on a JDC Short-Term Service Program in partnership with Tufts Hillel. Moved by their experiences to create an impact in this community, participants set goals to raise money and create awareness for ASYV.

As part of their initiative, on November 1, 2009, close to 300 Tufts University Hillel students, faculty and Boston-area residents gathered to participate in a "Race 4 Rwanda" to raise awareness and funds for ASYV.
