  • How do you go about removing the keratin of the beak from the bone?

  • @YodelingCorpses it honestly just falls off during the decomposition process. if its still on after the flesh has been removed by the decomposers, it soaks off in the bleach bath :)

  • it is usually stable enough that it can be glued back on the bone after cleaning though, like applying a false nail.

  • @WolfOfShadows1986 I swear I have the most stubborn goose skull. Much of the beak fell from the bone when I bleached it, but some of it , especially on the tip, refuses to come off! I am soaking it one more time in hot water. I'm afraid to soak it anymore because of how fragile it is!
