Looking at your film again. Based upon the railroad tunnels in the scene, this looks like it was taken around Hells Gate. You say this was shot in 1959? The Trans-Canada Highway Hells Gate Tunnel was completed in 1960. What looks like double Canadian National track, is to the North of Anderson River; which the old Cariboo Road and bridge was re-placed in 1962.
