In the midst of a very intense and devoted bhajan session, Bhagawan Sathya Sai Baba manifested Himself physically before Gopala Krishna Baba on 23rd November 1991 and materialized His Atma Linga, or the Chandra Moulishwara Linga and gave it to Gopala Krishna Baba. He also instructed Gopala Krishna Baba to perform the Rudhrabhishekh to the sacred linga on every Monday and distribute the holy consecrated sacred water (Tirtham) to the people. This is being done continuously from 1991 onwards without a break. There are innumerable instances where people have been cured of mental and physical ailments by partaking of the consecrated water. The linga is elliptical in shape. The full moon is depicted in the background with the "Jattha" (tuft of hair) of Shiva in the foreground. Anil Kumar narrated this incidence in the Divine presence of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and the same was also published in "Sanathana Sarathi" (official magazine of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation) in the month of July 1992.
