This is the second part of the planning which deals with the plotting of the story. The idea of using the folded paper to have the notes in front of the children helps with class discipline and praise. When one child has turned the sheet around to look at the character you can encourage the others to do the same. Trust me, I might be a storyteller, but it does work in the classroom. In general I would say that it gives some ideas for the structure of a linear, narrative SATs story.
