Oregon City Slideshow.

I built this out of pictures I took last fall, and over the winter. Just some scenic shots of the Willamette River and falls from The Promenade, a walk built at the top of the cliffs overlooking the river and mills and tracks. I included some shots of the high water of the storms from last winter, as well as some shots of some damage caused by the flood waters. The spaces under the rocks was caused by 'scour' which can undermine bridge supports and stuff in the river. Someone thought it would be funny to give a dead goose head a last cigarette, too... haha. funny like a hernia.

With SRV breaking my heart in the background, you could have shown pics of cream cheese softening and I would have been happy. So it was a delight to get to know Oregon City as well. Thanks. 5 stars of course. Please do this again sometimes. It's good to see a guy with some heart here.

I was born and raised in Oregon City, I love the town, I love the people, I love the train running through downtown, I loved the stink of the paper mills, I love my family that where all raised here (Grandparents too!). Oregon City, West Linn, Gladstone, Canemah, New Era, Canby, Aurora, Willamette, Stafford, Wilsonville... these are all places so familiar, full of history, life, beauty and spirit. The people that do not love the area, should just go home!, Most of us natives are friendly!

How is the city when it comes to gangs and crime? I live in Los Angeles and it it som violent here and I'd love to escapre this cesspool. Looking for a small city where someone can walk the streets without seeing a drive-by. Also, is there a bus sysytem that goes into Portland? I'm a disabled vet so I can no longer drive.

great video!! I've been looking for something like this to get a feel for what Oregon City is like. I'm moving there in about a week and don't really know much about the town other than the few pics that i got off flickr.
