Thomas R. East

"Pops" ~ Thomas East was born on June 18 in Middledrift South Africa 93 years ago and the world will never be the same. "Pops" left his mark from the East coast to the West through his loving dedication to family, service to his church and community and through his art, inventions and designs. He was a quiet trailblazer who led by example and who taught his children the importance of being .

I learned a lot about what it means to be a father from Dad, (Mom and he had eight!) and I'm grateful for those lessons and all of the wisdom that he shared.

Hard to believe that Dad's physical body left this earth and we celebrated his "Home Going"almost twenty years ago but his spirit and legacy live on through his children and grandchildren.

Happy Birthday Dad... and Happy Father's Day too. We Love You! (6/18/2011)
