I have a friend who is a "Wolf Theiran" but she knows that she does not have enhansed physical abilities ( sight, hearing, smell, ETC ) over other people. What are your thoughts about her?

The Aztcs had their own language yet the Spainish conquered them for gold. So a mining company might do what they did, but they might try to set up an agreement first, or end in war like many wars are, for resources/power. I agree that people arn't na'vi. However aslong as people arn't harmed from it, they can pretend to be a smurf for all I care.

@LostFoxeh Oh, indeed, being a Libertarian I couldn't agree more. Just because I think people should be allowed to believe whatever they want doesn't mean I can't question the morality/logic of such beliefs.

I don't believe the "Na'Vi Otherkin" are actual Otherkin. It may seem hypocritical, but what they believe themselves to be is just stupid. As you said, Avatar is just a film. It's not a prediction of the future or a vision of another planet. It's a work of fiction designed to entertain the people who go to watch it.

The people who really take the idea of being "Na'Vi" to heart seem to be impressionable fools to me. Much like the people who claim to have commited crimes because of GTA.

@HouseOfHeathens It is the elitistic, authoritarian "laws" and "norms" of Capitalism(especially Conservatism) which is the only responsible for the degeneration of humanism, mutual respect, tolerance and understanding. Those who judge this statement only for my ideological opinion and not seeing it as fully as a openly realistic statement which has going though a lot of re-thinking... Need to think twice of which words they will use next, for either confront or support the statement.

One thing: Do you know why people feel that they can identify with Na'vi spirituality and phiosophy.

Everything that is made by humans, are a part of mankind. Even fiction. Because fiction is as far you could get to another human being. Fiction is which units people. Young or old, people who had died and people not yet born.

@DarkDraconus Otherkin = People with identification with something that's none-human. Nothing more. You may believe, but in fact: your human. But most people doesn't understand the most fundamental with the life on Earth: All life is the same, we all is the same unit. We are one. All life, everything from trees, ants, birds, mammals.. We are all one. Human are equals with all life, as other lifeforms are equals with human.
