The prohibition against intermarriage does not equate to being bigoted or narrow minded. It is about being realistic and considerate.
It is unrealistic to expect one's non-Jewish spouse to live in accord with all the all encompassing daily religious practices that becoming Jewish involves. That's why mixed marriages usually equate to religion taking a backseat ride in the rides of both spouses. The children of such marriages usually end up being secular, rather than being seriously committed to the faith of either of the parents.
@milkyroadtube Targoom Rabbi Yonathon ben Uzi'El(Vayikra 18:21): And don’t give from your seed in sexual intercourse with a daughter of the nations that she beget a child that will pass over to idolatry… .this is what dot give your seed to Moloch means.touching a Shiksa is Idolatry. This is learned from Sanhedrin (82a), Rav was made to read in a dream that G‑d cuts off the man who does this .Also see Malachi 2:11-12 .Convert her before making love to her.or you are Idolizing!

@milkyroadtube The Talmud (Eruvin 53b). “Rabbi Yossi HaGlilli was traveling when he met Bruriah (Rabbi Meir’s wife) on the way. He asked her “Which path should I take to Lud?” Bruriah responded “Glilli, You imbecile, Don’t the sages say (Avos 1:5) “Don’t be excessive in talking to women? You could have said ‘Which to Lud’!”

@ShlomoHaAvinoo the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch is a sin itself. i will never forget how when I was ole chadash living in a village in Israel my friends got into skanat nefashot on shabbat and my neighbours instead of going and help them went to ask the rabbi and they questioned me for an hour trying to make sure these friends were halachicly jewish. 99% of religious people I know support and endorse this behaviour. That's a SIN. making love to a person you love is NOT

Rambam, Hilchot Issurei Biah, chapter 14, paragraph 13:
Whoever converts because of worldly nonsense
[for example, to marry a RICH JEW] is NOT a righteous convert.
Yalkut Shimoni, Shemot, chapter 12, Remez 213:
When a man converts because he wants to marry a Jewish woman,
G_d says to him: You converted because of a nebelah [non-kosher carcass].

Tanna DeBei Eliyahu Raba, Chapter 29:
A person who converts to marry a Jew is comparable to a mule (chamore).
Minor Tractates of Talmud, Tractate Gerim, Chapter 1, Law 7:
Anyone who converts for the sake of [marrying] a Jewish woman,
or fear, or love [of money] is NOT a convert...

One's faith is one's personality, one's link to everything in life. Including how we perceive each other and the visibpule & invisible world. May the Lord bless us always in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.

Interfaith marriages can be very, very stressful. I strongly believe that two people must have one main principle of God. We know that God is a divine mystery to us as humans. I am a Roman Catholic. I would love my wife to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord & savior. The reason is for her own salvation. Nothing more, nothing less. Christ is the only one that can unite the entire human race. No other one. Amen.

@Aliyah15 Don't presume that I didn't consider Islam or that I'm closed to hearing what Muslims have to say. Just as you know more about Islam than one who first meets you may presume, I likewise. I've been slowly learning Arabic for over 4 years.
