Rob Marcello from Boss highlighted their new GT-100 amp effects processor, which employs next-generation COSM amp modeling that models vintage amp tones and delivers never-before-heard sounds. A new dual-LCD display offers simple and intuitive operation with direct access to every parameter. Other features include an improved EZ Tone feature with a graphical TONE GRID for constructing new patches, and enhanced customization options. • Amazing player, but I would have much rather seen demos of the new amp models than hear shredding with a backing track.

I have seen a few demo videos for this and they always feature clean sounds and super effected shredding sounds...nothing in the middle...no overdrives, crunch, no meat and potatoes classic rock sounds, so I am assuming at this point that they didnt really improve any of that. Instead, you get the Accel pedal, which no self respecting player would use in a million years.

  • Pretty useless video...

  • i have a vox tonelab se , u know , the big whopper. i run it thru the fx loop of my egnater twkr 40 and use no preamp or dist and it snds awesome. my point? u must have a good amp to start out with or none of these gizmos will snd good. this guy is very good. btw-- the egnater twkr 40 kiks mjr booty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • @dan0311 yeah thats true, Thats why, for multieffects i prefer Zoom. And about the accel shit thing they put, Im only thinking of two ppl that would use it. Video game musicians, i dont know how theya re called, and maybe Gilbert, but gilbert only uses pro but simple to use stuff.

  • I don't like him... He is very good guitarist but sometimes I think that he plays only one lick/solo for all the time

  • widows of line 6 can not get enough to appear

  • boss is stuck in the '80s

  • @SAINTsoldi i would only recommend you buying either one of those if you already have a pretty good amp.

anyway, tonewise, this is the exact same as the gt10. they dont really worry about making the tone any better. I'd buy the line6.

if youre only looking for effects since you already have a pretty good amp, id buy a gt10. i wouldntreally spend the extra 100 bucks or whatever for this gt100

  • @panamanian911 amp? i dont need amp, i need multiefect, pedal, footswitch u know... so which is better?

  • @SAINTsoldi Bear in mind that if you're only going to use 4 channels at the most, just buy a regular amp that sounds good. Trust me.

  • is this better than pod line 6 xt live? please some1 answer, im about to buy one of those
