John half to CAART and half to Helping Hands

Our 10-year-old animal activist in the family chose to divide ECU's $20 donation equally between two animal welfare organizations locally. We gave $10 to the Helping Hands Humane Society. They were pleased to receive the donation, and also seemed overwhelmed by the work they are currently undertaking with preparations for a new facility, and the number of visitors they had to the shelter that day. We also gave $10 to the Topeka Pet Food Pantry, which provides free food to pet owners during this economic recession who couldn't otherwise afford to feed and keep their animals. The Pet Food Pantry was delighted to receive the donation, and let us know that another ECU Pay it Forward participant had donated to them also. We enjoyed going as a family to give these generous ECU gifts to such worthy organizations. Thank you, ECU, for this wonderful community program! We hope that we are able to earn another $250 for each of these two animal welfare programs, through visitor comments on YouTube. Thank you so much to all for supporting this goal!
