Jeffrey B. Perry is an independent scholar, editor of "A Hubert Harrison Reader," and author of "Hubert Harrison: The Voice of Harlem Radicalism, 1883-1918." Hubert H. Harrison (1883-1927) was described by J. A. Rogers as "the foremost Afro-American intellect of his time" and by A. Phillip Randolph as "The Father of Harlem Radicalism." His life and work also intersects with other giants of Black history including Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. Du Bois, and William Monroe Trotter.
