And finally, my sister Skye finishes her second movie. Her first movie was never put on here, as it was more of a learning curve than a creative spur for her. But, she bounces back here with another movie... ten times better than her first!

The story goes:
The Assassin is contracted to kill a target, but we dont know what for (and never will). The Assassin attempts to take the mark out while hes out getting the mail in the morning (hence, Postal Assassin). What would seem routine for the Assassin turns hectic as the mark was expecting an attempt on his life, and had weapons hidden throughout his house. Essentially, this is a comedy/action short film...
Skye directed it, edited it, wrote it, and even picked the music. The only thing she didnt do was act in it, or edit the special effects (She is only new to moviemaking and Sony Vegas after all...). I helped her out with the production of the flick, as well as acted (Im the mark...hehe) for her too. My little brother Patrick was the other actor in the film, and he did a good job (only 8 years old too!).

All-round, it was a good two days worth of work, and I pretty much spent my time off work helping get this movie finished.

Thanks to those talented composers over at Newgrounds.com for awesome songs (as always).
I've not had a chance to inform the artists of these tracks that they're work has been put to good use... and if they come across this before I can tell them, I thank you in advance.

FYI: Im unsure if the song Girls is from the Beastie Boys, or the Bloodhound Gang... but this remix is pretty good (thanks Isaac100000)

Disclaimer:
Although my sister is wholly responsible for the content in this movie, as well as its creation... Ive credited it as a Daniel Rutter film (or D.R.S.V Film) for sake of Copyright. This is not my movie in any way... Im just hosting it on my account with her permission.

  • A guy having a pistol fight in his underwear with a kid is never wrong!

But you should have used blood at the ending or atleast move the camera and thrown some fake blood on the wall, trim it nice and it would look awesome. Keep up the good work!

  • We discussed the blood splatter at the end but decided to work on our non-digital effects in future productions. I do love my digital effects, but the blood splatter effects I have just don't work for me. In our next production, I plan to use some practical effects :)

  • Where the guy gets shot in the bath room is where the blood should have splatter against the wall and brain matter should fly all over the place!!

  • He was shot in the gut... no brains there ;)

But yes, the blood effect would have been awesome.

Next movie, I promise we will use moar blood!
