you need two magnetic swithches both with polarity opposites a row of magnets in each one it needs to flip over when it reaches the end of the V then it should be attracted to continue or try to stretch one v around in one full circle

tilt the whole thing upright vertical where the gate fails then let gravity swing the arm down the other side building up momentum down to the start then whole process gets repeated?

it wouldnt take much to change the polarity with electricity would it? because they did that on this roller coster i think

that depends. if you have an electromagnet as the driver, you kinda defeat the purpose of using permanent magnets. I suppose you could just have a rotating thingy at the 'station' or whatever. and that roller coaster is something completely different.
