X-track Magnet Motor/Experiment

a little experiment i did that uses an attracting v-track and a repelling v-track to move a pendulum to the opposite side of the track. Flipping the main magnet around makes it go the other way. this could be used for trains, allowing them to go from point a to point b.

tilt the whole thing upright vertical where the gate fails then let gravity swing the arm down the other side building up momentum down to the start then whole process gets repeated?

the force required to lift it would cancel out the force gained by dropping it.

it wouldnt take much to change the polarity with electricity would it? because they did that on this roller coster i think

that depends. if you have an electromagnet as the driver, you kinda defeat the purpose of using permanent magnets. I suppose you could just have a rotating thingy at the 'station' or whatever. and that roller coaster is something completely different.

so why didn't you try to see if you could make it keep spinning?

or did you and it didnt?

you need two magnetic swithches both with polarity opposites a row of magnets in each one it needs to flip over when it reaches the end of the V then it should be attracted to continue or try to stretch one v around in one full circle
