I would like to say that its not USSR who is the champ of 1992 Olympics gymnastics. In fact there is no more USSR during that time. The champs are the Unified countries composed of countries under the former soviet union.

I really think Lysenko was the best gymnast on this team and thought even though she won beam gold she was way overlooked here.

wow so many stuck landings! and WHY wasn't lysenko in the bar finals? Her routine was great!

Lysenko's DTY was beautiful - she was so ahead of her time.

She was also absolutely magnificent on beam.

@TuesdayPillow She wasnt overlooked. She didnt put it together except on vault and beam finals. She should have won the vault gold too if the double yurchenko was valued properly but other than that she got what she deserved. She messed up i the AA so didnt medal there because of her mistakes. Her bars was not great and it isnt surprising she missed bars finals. She made mistakes on floor throughout the Games so wasnt in floor finals and hurt her in the AA too.

Thanks for making this video! Does anyone have Roza's Routines? And why didn't Lisenko make bar finals? She had a great routine.

@wogafan Yeah! Waouch... It was like nothing happened, but gosh...!

Yes she did. Her routine was very on except for the mount...which is pretty amazing after making that huge mistake in the beginning and being able to hold it together for the rest of the routine.

But especially in this sport, Bela always made the mistake of overhype and overkill. And he should have added difficulty to her beam routine. It was also the Code of Points being nutty and not rewarding the harder routines. And her injuries kept her from doing more difficult tumbling... But still, he did it again in 96 calling Moceanu the next Nadia when that's always an unfair comparison.

lol Of course he is gonna hype his own gymnast! Its a vested interest. But I do wish she was healthier at these games.

Tatiana's beam video was a little jumpy so can somebody please tell me, did she stick that landing?

Seeing how good the russians were, I can't believe how Bela hyped up Kim...  Kim was a solid and talented gymnast, but her routines didn't the form or the difficulty.
