@kanguesso It was a purple belt, just really, really old and faded. She got her brown belt soon after.

@tonyjr79 She has placed 1st and 3rd in the Pan-ams if that's what you mean by "real life". If you mean in a street situations, I have no idea.

i would love a female teacher for bjj

1, usually nicer and more willing to help (might be the maternal thing)

2. females technique is usually better cuz they dont just power through stuff as much as guys

3. at least when theyre on top its not as bad as some big burly sweaty dude

She obviously has skills, but it doesn't seem like he should be rolling yet. He needs to know more techniques. I think rolling without without a minimum number of techniques can be frustrating no matter how nice the advice is while rolling.
