This is part 3 (of 5) of a videoconference talk that I gave at the NSW Department of Education headquarters in Ryde to a number of high-schools as part of the Australian Institute of Policy and Science's Young Tall Poppy program and the DET's Connected Classrooms initiative.
Full details can be found on the DET's Rediscovering Science with NSW scientists website. Copyright belongs to Dr Ric Morante and Peter Roberson at DET.
PS. This talk is aimed at Yr 10-12 students at high school, so if you're a pro, please don't judge it too harshly from a technical standpoint. The focus is on telling the interesting aspects of the science, and sometimes that has to be at the expense of technical purity to get the vision across.
