@XKaliber2097 5) As I have already said, the lands are only going up. If they get to sixty a piece for the lower ones, and then they get banned, people will be pissed and there could be a huge backlash. As I have said, the dual lands only make the format more expensive to get into, and eventually the format will completely alienate all casual players due to the simple cost of land. This is not a good thing for the health and popularity of magic, or for the profits of wizards.

@XKaliber2097 4) Limiting a format can increase the number of decks that exist. For example, during the mirroden block, affinity was pretty much the only deck, because to run anything else would just not be as successful. After the cards that made affinity good were banned, and tons of new decks popped up. The point is, which restrictions, some decks die and new decks show up. The current decks of legacy are not what define the format. Decks come and go.

3) The price of dual lands has gone up significantly in the last year alone. This is due to a decreasing supply and increasing demand. I never claimed that dual lands haven't always been played, only the prior statement, which is inarguably true

1) 3 reasons, what an arbitrary number. The reason is casual players do not want to constantly invest in new cards for standard or extended and do not constantly go to tournaments to trade in block. So EDH and legacy work best.

@MrUWcontrol That's great about you taking care of dual lands..... I would say most people do. But this argument isn't about that, it's about legacy becoming more and more popular so the dual lands demand highly increases. This is why the prices have sky-rocketed....... When you make an argument, next time, try making relevant points.
