World's Fastest Drummer- 5th in World

Me (Matthew Tyrrell) Playing a double bass pedal set-up at Music Live '07.
The video shown was my 3rd attempt, but on my second attempt i got 834 strokes in a minute which until 20 minutes before the end was the record of the day. But i did get beaten and currently (04.11.07) I am Vth fastest at double bass drumming.

i am going to buy some double bass pedals soon so I can actually practice doing this (that was my third ever time playing double bass- other times = whole 15 minutes at band practice) I DO NOT play drums- and never have- I play Bass Guitar.

I don't mean to sound like an ass but is this really fast? I'm not an awesome drummer And I can do 880 bpm. Is the speed in this video something amazing? please don't insult, I'm just curious to know if I'm playing fast or not.

nice, but I think this competitions retarded. You can have 1 inch of motion and it registers as a hit. And then you have people that arent even drummers doing this who go up there and just spazz their leg inconsistently, which isnt drumming.I cant even take that seriously. On a real set you would barely hear any of those hits.

I don't disagree atal ^^, i just merely took part to fuck our former drummer off, but he can do heel-toe with far more power and faster than that now , haha

Your not #5 in the world at all. That site you posted isn't even the world rankings. That's the UK rankings. Your score of 834 would make you #45 in actual world rankings. I HIGHLY suggest you take that "5th in the world" title down.
