We have the PATRIOT act which has stripped us of many of our basic civil rights justified by the terror of 9/11 which is their own doing

I dont really understand what the big deal with the iran-contra scandal was. Sell weapons to Iran which is fighting Iraq whom you support but dont want to win overwhelmingly, and use the money to support the Contra's fighting the leftist regime Nicaragua. Seems like a win-win to me.
