Alternate-timeline-Jack and alternate-timeline-Sam are trapped in the jumper and kiss. It's OK - she's not in the military in this timeline!
Clearly they're meant for each other in ANY version of history.

@bonuscheesemilk *snaps fingers* awww, so that means for Jack and Sam to get together in our timeline/reality jack would need to retire or sam would need to leave the airforce? So what about those familys where both the mom and dad are married and in the airforce? Do they have to meet before they join up or meet on downtime?

@LiveLaughLove8489 As far as I know, fraternisation between officers of differing ranks is forbidden regardless of the chain of command. Strictly speaking, Jack should treat Sam the same as he'd treat any other subordinate officer.
