U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood announced a $1.9 million federal grant for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority. The monies will be used to create a one-call, one click transportation resource center aimed at military veterans. LaHood made he announcement at a press conference at Jacksonville's Veterans Memorial Wall. Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown introduced Secretary LaHood. JTA Chairman Michael Cavendish formally accepted the grant on behalf of the JTA.
