West Coast Dockworkers Strike Against Iraq War

25,000 West Coast Dockworkers went on strike May 1, 2008 to protest the war in Iraq. The members of the International Longshore & Warehouse Union (ILWU) shut down ports for eight hours from San Diego to Vancouver.

@Paxification you should learn a bit more about communism. There was many worker strikes and even political protests that led to change. There was no evils in communism except the leaders that were in power. Communism made it possible to go from a country of peasants to a fully industrialized nation in 50 short years with worker unions. Same as with any government.

We do profit from war but, isn't there a way to make money without? We "lay-off" city, state, and fire/police, in order to prepare for the end of the war. We need open positions for our troops when we finally bring them home. Our Government or the "federal reserve" have manipulated the American people for too long.
