I have the exact same filters also in a 20g. I just bought the AC 50 after noticing that the aquaeon filter that came with the kit was losing suction. My AC 50 makes a little bit of noice from the new pump...hoping it slimes up!

How quiet is it

Do you mean the Aqueon? It does an ok job. Very quiet and you don't need to prime it in case you have to unplug it. The Aquaclear is great IMO. Both are relatively quiet if you fill your tank to the top.

The two filters together are perfect for a 20G, especially if you have goldies who poop a lot:)
