I found a DVD file of this and then converted for Youtube. This is a non-for-profit reconstructed version of Richard William's should've been masterpiece. 30 years in the making, this film was never completed by Williams himself, as the company couldn't stand the budget increases and delayed deadlines and thus placing all of the works to a Bond company, where they had a lower-quality animation company finish the film as cheap and quick as possible. The end result? A foreign print (The Princess and the Cobbler) and the Miramax version (Arabian Knight) which both were not approved by Williams himself. (the sad thing is that they gave Williams credit in these two versions.)

  • wait im confused, I have this on VHS... What version is that, in it the thief actually talks

  • @Nxflameboy96 The VHS was the edited version that was not approved by Richard Williams. What you're seeing is a reconstruction of how Richard Williams wanted the film to be presented. The Thief does not talk at all in this version, as intended.

  • Is Sean Connery in this version?

  • @joethetimelord Yep.

  • I rented the Miramax cut when I was a kid and I quite enjoyed it. That said, this is a much better movie.
