@corkskrewclubhouse93 Rode the back row last weekend and I can totally agree with this. I was pretty much holding on to the metal bar as if my life depended on it.
What sucks is the new management don't allow you to pick where you want to sit [front and back rows], they make everyone fill out the empty seats and then let the coaster leave. Not worth the $8 imo if you can't pick out where you want to sit.

omg man we were on this ride and lemme tell u ours was broken it had no holder and it had a robe and it was a wabbling car omg i started bleeding from my mouth and it was gushing blood all i did was not scream hold the car literally and do glalalaska,asmqs and my teeth sctrach all over my mouth _-_

You, my friend, are a true NYer. You know what few others know or are willing to admit, and that is that the last car of the Cyclone is where the REAL ride is. Any slob can sit in the front and experience what they are supposed to when they are supposed to, but you know that the real thrill is experiencing it on a few second delay, getting yanked around turns, bottoming out on the downslopes, and getting pulled over hill crests at top speed. If I knew you I'd buy you a spumoni at L&B.

actually they just changed the name and added some new rides. but they wont be taking down the cyclone. since its a protected landmark now, its against the law.

@Nitelathe : I rode it last tuesday. It is open daily (after noon) from March 29 to April 6 and from May 14 through Labor Day. It's opened only on weekends from April 7 to May 13 and after Labor Day through the end of September.

I plan on going this year on May 29 and it is on a saturday. They say the rides are only open on a weekends. Would someone mind telling me if that is true? And could someone please tell me that the cyclone is still working and that it will be open at that time when it is close to summer?

All the videos in the world do not do this ride justice. That first drop in any of the rear seats is an absolute sh$t-in-your-pants experience. I've been on the modern coasters. They may be more intense but do not scare the crap out of you! The first drop is not only steep, but it launches you forward into your lap bar so violently that you feel like you're gonna get dumped right into a pile of greasy lumber.

Cyclone is the Best Roller coaster in the world everytime TLC Has show on Roller coasters Cyclone on it everytime.
