The Shondells, the first line-up of the Band with Larry Coverdale on Guitar. They split up in 1965 and Tommy James built the new Shondells an re-recorded Hanky-Panky with them. It raised to a no. 1 Chart hit. This great thundering surfer is from 1964.

Took this rocker Tommy James & The Shondells in 1997 on their best-of compilation "It's a new vibration - an ultimate anthology" on Westside Records. In Germany is no longer available, but ordered from amazon.com for a lot of money second hand. Greetings from Germany.

Larry Coverdale is my dad and I hadn't listened to this. I have the studio copy of this but it's in protective stuff so obviously never heard it. But I'm really happy to hear my dad shredding it on youtube. That's pretty awesome. :) Thanks for posting this.

I used to listen to this as a kid. Fantastic. Thanks for putting it up.

Truly the "ultimate garage band". This is near impossible to find on CD with exception of one of Tommy James' hit packages. Great "B" side to the Hanky Panky 45 on Roulette - thank you for posting this.
