This is not intended to be taken for anything other then understanding an acid base reaction, and some of the terms used. There is a step by step colored drawing of the procedures of how a strong acid and a strong base makes H2O and a Salt, along with the chemistry behind it. This is a fun watch for 15 min. THIS IS NOT A INSTRUCTION VIDEO SO DO NOT TRY TO DO IT, JUST USE THIS TO LEARN ABOUT CHEMISTRY.

  • Bryan - will you be doing a video on how to run a column?

  • @AlexShulJr Jey I will set one up this week and film how to do it

  • lol, only so much you can get away with. I am actually going to do an actual amine extraction in the Lab and I am going to record step, by step in real life. An amine extraction will be the exact to say maybe something that you might be interested in.

  • After watching part 1 and part 2 and reading the title of part 1 and also seeing the molecule being drawn multiple times in the video, and you still have to ask that question that I can not answer and follow Youtube's rules, then in the nicest way possible I would say that you should not be trying to extract that molecule. lol have a great day and I hope that answered your question.

  • Please do a better description in a video of the recrystalization with and without water.

  • your fucking crazeehhhh!!!! dum dum dum, your awesome, too fast, explain it molecularly then it will be awesome, the formation of a polar soluble nitronium ion in the alkaloid you are extracting and stuff

  • ive been trying this for sometime with naphthalene, supercritical co2, and ethanol. but that 25% water in everclear really fucks it up as the concentration of water gets bigger as you evaporate it off. really need 200proof for that art to work right. thanks for the post.

  • Do you have a link for a "pharmaceutical" grade laboratory procedure? I feel a few of the details in these videos are slightly unclear.

  • Do you add the ethyl acetate mixture to the water or the beaker to the water during re crystallization? You were talking too fast and i couldn't understand sorry

  • great presentation but try to slow down , you talk way too quick, it can be hard for people with english as a 2nd language to understand, but nonetheless great presentation.

  • I love this dude ;)
