A prolific composer, keyboardist and guitarist, founder of the group Contrevent, Marc Vallée has an impressive résumé. The excellent 2003 album Hamadryade revealed a sound at the crossroads of jazz, folk, and world musics, employing tablas, the didgeridoo and the Chapman stick.
Marc Vallée has composed over 60 tunes for the theater, for short and feature films, animation films, corporate videos, TV ads, websites, CD-ROMs, as well as themes of radio and television.
In 2002 he founded his trio, "Marc Vallee Trio" and recorded their first album, released in 2003 - Hamadryade.
He also accompanied a variety of Canadian and European artists: Julos Beaucarne, Keane, Anne Sylvestre, Daniel Lavoie, Luc De Larochelière, Claire Pelletier, Sylvie Tremblay, Jacques Haurogné, etc.
