www.ProGuitarShop.com- This ain't yo daddy's Overdrive! Never has there been an OD/Boost pedal that can compare with the long awaited Xotic BB Plus! Part BB Preamp part Boost pedal, this little baby has you covered. The BB side is very versatile and shimmery, from high gain madness to low gain sizzle. The tone controls are very interactive with each other creating an amazing palette of tones. Both sides feature a Comp switch giving you two different cut-off frequencies to choose from, a slight scoop for heavier crunch, or a warmer cream tone for sizzling lead. The second side of the Xotic BB Plus is a super transparent boost/buffer. Use this to kick a little extra db for a boost or as a buffer in a long run of pedals. Both sides are true bypass and seperately footswitchable. There is also a toggle for the order in which the sides operate: Boost-OD or OD-Boost. No other pedal on the market can keep up with the new BB Plus from Xotic Effects.

"The BB Plus is a pre-amplifier so transparent and versatile it bridges the gap between fingertips, guitar and amplifier with a full spectrum of sounds. Channel A epitomizes the core of the original BB Preamp. It has an amp-like feel. Characteristics that are very open with rich complex harmonics. Channel B is the most versatile booster we have ever designed. At any setting, it delivers the most inspiring musical tone that only dreams are made of. Activate both channel stacks with a single button for unlimited configurations of superb tone."

  • this guy makes the best demos

  • I got this pedal last year, and I must say it has become the "secret weapon" in my rig (right along with my HotPlate). I don't think I could live without it anymore. I use channel A even on cleans, it's ALWAYS on!!! I use it with both my TSL and my Plexi. AMAZING

  • this pedal with a compressor on it ...will sound killer right? ... and also a dont know very much about preamp concept... this means that you have to used your amp clean always ? or just works well with some amps? please some can clear it out?

  • Been playing about 12 years, lots of styles, this is the best overdrive pedal I have ever owned. I've used it for about 2 years now, almost every weekend. Better than Tubescreamers, Rat, anything Boss makes, even Fulltone. It's expensive, but honestly, it just sounds so damn good! Run it through a good tube amp with a decent guitar and the only weak link in the chain will be you.

  • Even has a blue Led... AHH!! I want.

  • can i use any of those channels to act as a boost for my other pedals? i want to but the bb+ in front of my signal chain something like polytune > 535q > bb+ > crunchbox > reeza... i want to be able to clean boost or add a little more gain to the crunchbox and reeza during solos... is this possible?

  • @Chicostrat I know its a bit more money, but the versatility of this pedal is amazing, but not nearly as amazing as the tone it pumps out! It will be an investment you will not regret!

  • So it would be easy to say this is better than an OCD or Ice 9?..Just trying to save some bucks but i think this would be a great investment....If i was gonna stay under 150 the OCD would be the way to go i guess??I play through a Jet City JCA20..Not a metal player either...classic rock etc...

  • i have a dual rectifier and want to add some harmonic overtones to my leads and some tighter chunk to my rythms. would this pedal be i?deal for a high gain amp

  • I'm looking for a distortion pedal in which I can play diferent styles. I hate the Metal pedals that sound so "digital" and annoying but still, the genre is something I play with my band.I also like the overdrive sound for other sorts of songs. I was wondering if theres a way you can equalize the sound of this pedal to a closer sound of a distortion one (putting all the gain up, increase the trebel, etc.) but also equalize it to use the sweet overdrive sound it has.

    Thanks!

  • U guys have a review for the AC Plus?

  • @lberretta Yes, G system has preamp loop insert places, I use 3 different preamps on my G system. a mesa boogie v twin, a landgraff and a bluesbreaker. G SYSTEM has places for 4 different preamp loops.
