  • What gauge is in Argentina, is it metre gauge??

I'm an Aussie but I take a lot of interest in South American rail cause I'm into old GEs, EMDs and Alcos. Great liveries in that part of the world too, I like FCAB, FePasa, ALL, Metropolitana etc.

  • Hi! One meter gauge.

  • Lindo video, un tren hasta Mendoza!!, quien diría en esta Argentina tan cambiante, tan vacia-da. Bueno espero que les sirva por allá. Saludos desde Baires!!

  • gracias

  • Muchas gracias!

  • Thank you for your comment. I don't know if you understand Spanish, but this train was the first that came to Mendoza, after two years of non-activity. The color is almost the same than Ferrocarriles Argentinos, the State-owner color company which was privaticed in 1992. Regards. Pablo

  • In our country we have several gauges working, the Gral. Roca, Gral San Martin, Gral Mitre and Gral Sarmiento works in indian gauge (1.676 mm.) raising a total of 24,481 km.

The Gral Urquiza and Tren de la costa (The coast's train) works in standard gauge (1.435 mm.) raising a total of 2,765 km.

The Gral Belgrano network (which you can see in this video) works in metric gauge (1000 mm.) and raise a total of 11,080 km. It's the bigger network.

  • Metre gauge of 1027 MM!!!!

  • Muy bueno el Video, la verdad que es muy importante el tren, mas en mendoza.
