It's not that crazy to think there might be another Civil War. Remember that people's basic emotions have not changed in the last few centuries, when they are cold and hungry they will fight. People will turn to their religion's and that will divide us more, then further division through the socialists vs those that want to restore the Republic

Democracy, while an ideal, is a product of civilization, not of evolution. Go slowly! select carefully! for the dangers of democracy are:
1. Glorification of mediocrity.
2. Choice of base and ignorant rulers.
3. Failure to recognize the basic facts of social evolution.
4. Danger of universal suffrage in the hands of uneducated and indolent majorities.
5. Slavery to public opinion; the majority is not always right.

Contracts - the last 30 years has been a contract socity ( debit ) Credit apps and contracts go to the bank, funding goes to the vendors ( Corps, LLC..) and the interest is captured by the banks. High risk paper (sub-prime) is sold , sometimes abroad People will have to learn , if you don't have the money, don't buy it. That will mean deciplean.

arclight777: how is that going to happen? The gov will squash us like a dollar if we start talking "OVERHAUL"
I see one future:
(1) the government makes everyone angry
(2) an 8 sided revolution divides us into multiple zones.
(3) Aunty Entity AND Master BLaster rule the world until:
(4) Mad Max kicks their BE hinds
(5) the song: "We don't need another hero" takes us all home. (whereever that is)
I'm not as sure of 3 thru 5.
Our gov has been spending years dividing us all.

The government relies on us to be lawful citizens who obey whatever insanity they create. They end up making insanity much faster than we can combat in lawful ways. But to fight in unlawful ways, would create it's own kind of insanity. It seems there is no way to win.
