You guys, obviously this is an exaggerated accent, but there are plenty of parts that call for a heavy accent like that, and you can always alter the way you say it to be less extreme. I thought this was really helpful, thanks!

That's very stereotypical.

I know someone from New York and she talks just like this. You guys, keep your pants on.
It all depends on how heavy their accent is, geez.
When learning an accent, you exaggerate. Jeeeez.

We new yorker's don't sound like that. That's not an New york accent. more like boston. If your gonna' teach accents...Teach em' right!!

NOT EVEN MY GRANDPA TALKS LIKE THIS LOL holywood, u silly goose
This is NOT an insult to New Yorkers. this is how actors and actresses learn accents to play a NYer. Maybe she is exagerating so people get the entonation right. (some people have not ear for accents, or music).
Do you think Joe Pesci speaks with that accent all the time? C'mon people, everybody wants to be so "politically correct" all the time, that you go to extremes. Grow some character and bear it!
