This is only an introduction into the study of Quetzalcoatl. This is offered for all those skeptic New Agers who continue to believe that Quetzalcoatl was not the God of the Tolteca, the source is the Florentine Codex, which was transliterated by Nahua scribes who still had not been influenced by Spanish missionaries, and who because of their pre-Invasion knowledge of the Oral Traditions and the Writing, were used to transliterate the oral traditions and the painted semasiographs of their people.

  • There never existed a people called "TOLTECA". There is only aperverted history acording to the Mexica. It amazes me that it is implied that Jesus is the Mayan god "kukulkan" mexicanised "quetzalcoatl". It also amazes me that there is never a mention of the TEPANEC or COLHUA the educated and wise peoples whose history the Mexica destroyed then made up their stories.

The Europeans did a good job in destroying our history and culture. look-up AZTATLAN, CHIMALHUACAN.

  • Fortunately, the Mexica were not the only ones who document the Tolteca. The Tolteca definetly existed as is evidence by Tollan, Mayapan, and Chichen Itza, among many other places, as well as the In Tlilli In Tlapalli that was passed down to Nezahualcoyotl, who as an Acolhua was a descendant of the Tolteca.

The Mexica didn't destroy other peoples history, they just tried rewriting their own.

  • Its always amusing to see Christian perversions of Toltecayotl.

  • It's always amusing to see New Age perversion of Toltecayotl, give me your version of Toltecayotl.

I suggest you try some constructive criticism instead of a lack of argument or substance, chale no?

  • Great. Thanks for posting a translation. I would like to clarify these points: 1. By Twin, it means a Double Man (spirit and matter) 2. Feathered Serpent means the same (serpent standing is a shaman shape of man, and feathered means the aura) 3. There were many manifestations of the Quetzalcoatl Spirit (not priests) but Tolteca Artist/Mystics such as stated Topiltzin and C Atcal. 4. Not one God , but many Aware Quetzalcoatl Magicians. Remember Cortez and the Quetzalcoatls were white men.

  • @SilentKnowledge8 4. There is One God, "Icel Teotl" named Quetzalcoatl, not many "magicians" as you claim. Cortez's men were not Quetzalcoatl's, you are mistaken my New Age friend.

  • This is new age adding non-Christian elements.

Florentine Codex isn't a good source.

  • this is the same as Islam :).

  • Excellente. As you begin, the reference to Topiltzin proves that the Awakened Ministers were many, and also named Quetzalcoatl. Just like the Tolteca Leader is referred to as the Nagual and is also the name for the Unknown or Nagual or spirit.
