Iowa dairy farmer Jerry Harvey explains how he has worked with Farm Aid to rally the public around the economic crisis facing dairy farmers. He talks about the future of family farmers as they struggle against factory farms and economic uncertainty.
dairy is hurting? maybe thats because people are waking up to the fact that milk is not good for humans. These dairy farmers have been lying about that fact for years.
im 16 an plan on takin over the farm i live on when i get older farming has been in my family a long time and all the things in this video are true. we all (dairy farmers) supply the country with milk and sometimes others supplies and we barely get enough to keep it going in return i think thats horse crap but hopefully the prices go up and stay steady
My dad worked a dairy farm for about 50 years. He worked with my grandad then continued during his adult life. It was a very difficult life, for those of you who aren't familiar with it. All I could think of while was growing up was, "I do not want to do this for a living. We had one vacation, as a family, my whole life. It was a 24 hr 7 days a week job. He had around 125 head of cows. I really didn't understand how difficult it was until I got older. But I grew very sad for him the older I got.
It so nice that other people (family farms) are out there. We too are a family farm.. and this story touched me.. thank you for the hope and inspiration put into this video
Milk is NOT good for humans to consume. I'm sympathetic to these people but perhaps they should find a different livelihood.
