@dontdoschool I don't really take anything into consideration from people who can't spell or write courteously/in a mannerly fashion. These are only your opinions. You can find thousands of people who may agree, but millions won't. I never even said his work was bad, if you read through the lines. You should watch where you use the word retarded; You seem to be contradicting yourself. I prefer WK Interact, simply put. You prefer Shepard. You don't need to act like a baby about it.

@helgenx wow u are retarded. u obveously didnt read his book. he takes his own pictures.he went to school for art. his canvases are special editions of existing pictures like WARHOL IS OF EXISTING PRODUCTS DIPSHIT. and who cares if warhol is dead. like i said retard, theyre both pop artist who had a huge impact on pop art in their time. so like i said. do u homework before you judge someone. cuz im a huge fan of both warhol and shepard. is that simple enough for you?

@dontdoschool Warhol is dead, yo. And comparing him to Warhol is just simply ridiculous, they are in totally different leagues and totally different art styles. Turning everyones picture into 2D with Photoshop and Illustrator is not something Warhol would do or did. I think you need to rethink your entire comment; This one, and previous before you talk about art works and the different types before you start posting on the internet and further making yourself look like you "dontdoschool."

@helgenx are u kidding me? u just dont like him because he sold out. if anything shepard is the modern day andy warhol. he pretty much achieved everything warhol has down a different path. the cambell tomato soup is already around and look what warhol did with it. u gotta focus on all aspects of art before you judge someone fool

The only real artist in this battle is WK. First off, I don't want to go and say "mainstream this, mainstream that," but the reason Obey is popular is from things that are already around. That's just taking something, and doing something else with it, but it's not totally original. WK's work is totally original, and though it may not be in magazines and clothing, in the real art world, WK is way more respected, more original, deeper, and overall better. Obey been doing the same shit how long?

the only reason people like WK Interact more, is because they think OBEY's original canvas work is just wheat pasted one layer poster to a canvas. When in real life, Shepard spends hours and days and weeks stenciling, layers and layers of posters together to make one new piece every time, just really faint changes. WK Interact just has a different vibe every time, and doesn't stick to a main character like Shepards "Andre the Giant". (I have OBEYS Andre The Giant on my forearm) best idea ever.

It said on the internet the rights to a song are protected for 70 yrs. after the death of the artist, is the same true for visual artist? If they change the visual arts copyright law will they do the same for the recording industry? Which art is better visual/music? Which artist is better. Divide then Conquer! DONE.

obviously not because shepard is getting way more publicity for his work. Example would be his "Obama Hope" design. it has made it on magazine covers and even got recognition from obama himself. Wk is not very popular and most people have never herd of him.
